Nemo was a new baby chick that almost didn’t make it. For two solid days he laid on his side and never once stood up. Normally chicks stand within two days of hatching.
On the third day, he actually started to stand, although his balance was still way off.
I took it upon himself to hold and nurture Nemo. This can help to imprint love by feeling the warmth and comfort of another.
We think it is working as Nemo is looking much better.
Taking care of our chickens can even mean acting like a chicken mama.
